Rachel, I hope your wrist is fine. It's a challenge on the wrist too, I also felt it.

Re: The timing excrcise drill from 4/19/2017 to 4/28/2017

It is, thanks Sven, just a little tweak smile
Yes it's a challenge to keep on the same plane!

Re: The timing excrcise drill from 4/19/2017 to 4/28/2017

Today was just a smidgen better.
This drill is going to be very beneficial , if I can get it right.

Ron, I also think it's very beneficial. But indeed only when we get it right.

I used less force and allowed more time for the whip to travel. I rewatched Robby's video. I hope I'm getting it right.

ps. I know, next time I'll smile a bit more smile

Sven, I think that's a whole lot better!  smile

Re: The timing excrcise drill from 4/19/2017 to 4/28/2017

Good morning / evening everyone. Hey Sven looking pretty good smile it looks from my perspective as though you need to give the whip just a little more time to form a loop, but it's looking pretty good!
I say that knowing I need much practice myself to become proficient with this exercise. There seems to be no way around having to move my arm in order to 'coax' the whip into forming an adequate loop before extending, because the whip is long and loses momentum when it touches the ground! Here is my video https://youtu.be/9J2le5TSmAg

Re: The timing excrcise drill from 4/19/2017 to 4/28/2017

Mr. Robert, thank you.

Russell, i know what you mean. I'm using a 7ft whip and it always hits the ground, losing its speed/momentum. But it seems you're using a longer whip, so the effect might be even bigger.
Looking good by the way.
And I absolutely love that dog in your video's. smile

Thank you Sven. Yes, the whip is 8 ft long. smile my dogs name is Keyzer. Sometimes it is hard to concentrate with his 360 degree displays, but I feel too guilty not taking him with me for a walk smile

Good day everyone. It is ANZAC day here in New Zealand, where we honour the men who fought and died during war. I have been practising this exercise a lot in the last few days. I feel I am improving slowly. I hope you all have a good day... https://youtu.be/czvxUHj_QRM

I believe you have made some vast improvement.
Doing this exercise is a lot more difficult using a longer whip like you have.
Very good job.

Re: The timing excrcise drill from 4/19/2017 to 4/28/2017

Thanks Ron. I have just purchased a stock whip with a 5 foot thong. I'm hoping it will be more practical for these kind of exercises and combination cracking. How goes your practice?

Re: The timing excrcise drill from 4/19/2017 to 4/28/2017

Russel, it goes very slowly.
I have to take small increments of practice time. It's hard on the wrist and it really tires me out more than any other before.
Going from right to left is a lot better than from left to right.
But I'm think improvement is on the horizon. smile

Re: The timing excrcise drill from 4/19/2017 to 4/28/2017

This exercise definitely is a workout smile I feel it too. I'm sure it will get easier the more we condition our whip hands. You're right too, I also find it easier going from right to left. I tried making sure the natural curve of the whip is on top facing to my left. It makes executing the left to right much easier for me. Good luck with your practice mate smile

I must be doing it backwards or something.  I find it easier from left to right,,, huh...

Maybe i'm doing it backwards hehe smile It took a little while just to get into the rhythm of this coachman's back and forth flow!

Re: The timing excrcise drill from 4/19/2017 to 4/28/2017

The more I look at these videos and compare them with Robby's prototype, the more I feel that a six-foot whip is probably the optimum for this exercise. (Irony: I don't have a six-foot whip! I've got a couple of six and a half footers, but.... And Robby's a bit taller than I am!)

Class - you're doing great smile  Sorry for the joke... I watched your videos and tomorrow I'm going to shoot another vid with some explanations on the videos I've seen, okay? Today I'm in the studio and it will be a very long day. But tomorrow!

That would be awesome Robby.

I used a 6ft whip in yesterdays exercise and it went much better. However, I'm really curious if I'm on the right track.

Re: The timing excrcise drill from 4/19/2017 to 4/28/2017

Ok, today's last of the 10 day practice was about the same.
Going from the starting position on the right was a lot better than the opposite direction.
Keeping it on the same vertical plane was the difficult part for me.

Robby said that today he would have some input and perhaps a new drill or direction to continue on to. I am just presuming that though.

Stay tuned crackers. Same crack time, same crack channel.
