They're a pretty pair Tyler, well done. If they wax anything like Dacron or Nylon they'll turn out fine. Just the usual spiel about being between 220 and 250 F for the bath and letting it soak till the bubbles are gone. Since the cord gets up to temperature when left in a bath for that long, you'll find that the thong comes out dry as a dessert and soaks up the excess so the surface is almost "dry".
Look forward to seeing more colors of the wave lace!
Tyler I bet those handles are beauties!!!!! [Black and Red!]
I can't wait to see this!
That Goncalo is beautiful, isn't it!!!!
Oh now this'll be really fun!
Dude, those knots look amazing, please post some close-ups of them when you get the chance.
Very nice work, ...
Tyler, your continuing development is very inspiring. A pair of beauties: I, too, can hardly wait to see them waxed!
Thanks Devin! I was going to read up on waxing temps and procedures, you summed it up nicely! I take it from your wording that you did try waxing some dacron whips?
I will post some closeups after waxing Fritz- Thanks!
Rachel, one was goncalo and the other was something else, brown.... uh, it used to be a tree...the name escapes me right now.
It used to be a tree, that'll do
Yes I'd like to see more of those knots too!!
Here is a 10 foot exowhip in white, black, and navy blue:
It's the first 10 foot Exo, so that was kind of fun but I'm always glad to see the end of a 10 footer!
What a beauty, Tyler! I like that heel knot!!
Very Elegant sir. Well done!
Can't wait to see what you're doing with that red lace....
Your whip designs continue to intrigue me.
Beautiful work, Tyler - as ever!
Thanks Rachel! Me too!
Thanks you Brandon and Robert:)
Great work of art, Tyler, I like it!!!!
All the best
Thank you Mario
I love the ferrule placement. Also love that it's a biggie 10 footer!
Very smooth fine job
Thanks Erik and Einar! Tomorrow I will have pics of the first red and black ones!
Tyler this is going to be special.
Thanks Ron- and here we are:
I did something different this time, evidently I love to torture myself, I thought a longer knot might be in order so I went with a 17 by 14 single pass:
I think this may be the last time I consent to do knots in wavelace... it's SOOO time consuming and when I get done with them I don't want to see another turk's head for at least a week. WHile I was working on these I was thinking, "I should switch to doing woodies and cow whips, I'd never have to do this again!"
Sweet looking knots. Love the color combination and patterns.
