@ Rachel McCollough:

Thank you for sharing the pictures of this beautiful set Madam !!!
The craftmanship looks perfect, the color of the acid dark brown paracord looks very good together with the wooden handles and the end of the handles look very comfortable and secure to hold !!!

Very well done Madam!!!

All the best

Upcoming:
A simple single belly 6' 12 plait for a friend of my sons.
Here's the belly, ready to bind and plait some color on.  Black and silver, I think.

Rachel, that's going to be nice.
Black and silver is going to be dynamic.

Re: This is the Gallery of "Wolf Creek Whips" - Rachel McCollough

Ron and Efren, thanks, I only hope I can keep it straight all the way to the twist!

Ron when you have your new book it has the directions, it is not hard at all compared to a straight diamond plait...I'm liking the way it looks so far.  Just need to decide what kind of handle to put on it!

Re: This is the Gallery of "Wolf Creek Whips" - Rachel McCollough

Rachel, so far it's as straight as a snap line.
The silver almost looks white in the photo.
Deciding on a handle would be difficult for me.
I wonder what an ebony handle would look like?

Re: This is the Gallery of "Wolf Creek Whips" - Rachel McCollough

I bet ebony would look good!  I may have to make a simple one from ash and stain it... But Goncalo would look nice too.
That book is something to be excited about!

Very nice plaiting Rachel. That looks excellent. Its fun to try different plaits every once in a while, especially when they turn out that nice.

Rachel, i like how the color and the pattern goes really well together, the plaiting is really straight too.

Roy, i think your phone is going nuts lol

Re: This is the Gallery of "Wolf Creek Whips" - Rachel McCollough

Ebony would look gorgeous, but real ebony is not spectacular for a hard working whip because it has a tendency to store stress and release it all at once. If you stain ash, might I suggest a black leather dye, like Fiebings? It's what we use to make shims, plugs, etc match ebony fingerboards and fittings, and it looks really good depending on the texture of what you dye. If you want you can use a few coats of thin cyanoacrylate (superglue) in between sanding to make it look like the really expensive ebony grades.

Thanks, Roy, I appreciate it.  Yes it is fun to change things up from time to time!

Philbert, thank you!
Efren that is very good advice, I appreciate it and will be putting it to good use!  I have some leather dye here so.... I may be doing that!
