I like how it's simple yet looks so elegant.

Here's 3-10's, 10' two belly 14 plait in electric blue, charcoal gray, and black.  One is 650 chocolate brown.
15" handcut Goncalo Alves handles.
Handle stock from Whip Nation.

You can see the chocolate brown individually above, here's all three and one multicolored one.

Looking good, the patterns came out really nicely, although if i were to pick one, the chocolate brown is still my favorite.

Re: This is the Gallery of "Wolf Creek Whips" - Rachel McCollough

Thanks, Ron and Philbert.
Yes Ron, I did for the 2015 WB Whip Swap one like that with a cherry handle, the cherry and that color combo together is exclusive to Erik's whip.
I like the colors, but those solids are probably my favorite for this kind of whip.

Rachel, the solid colors make more sense in a working environment for sure.
I , as many others have said, love the chocolate brown and the acid brown.
I am not sure what the actual difference is but I like them both.

I would be proud as punch to own one! smile

Rachel you are developing some very nice work, and have come a long way.
I'm a fan of solid colors as well, Acid brown being my particular favorite. Slightly funnier being that I originally received some acid brown due to a misunderstanding.

Gio and Devin, thank you both sirs, I really appreciate it!
You both are artists- very high quality work comes from both of your hands.  I admire the whips you both make very much!

Devin I remember reading that, and really liking the color I saw in the picture.  I was very glad that I could get the Dark Acid Brown from Whip Nation.

Your whips always look well made Rachel, and that chevron type pattern on the electric blue one. I saw it and now i understand how i can do a similar pattern. Beautiful whips. The more i see your whips the more i want to make a cowwhip.

Brandon thank you, you seem to be a fellow of many talents and I sure look forward to seeing a cow whip you make!

Re: This is the Gallery of "Wolf Creek Whips" - Rachel McCollough

Ill have to whittle the handle out but that makes it that more special.

78

Re: This is the Gallery of "Wolf Creek Whips" - Rachel McCollough

Exactly, Brandon.  All I use is a tablesaw for some stock removal, a rasp, sander, and drill.  And a small dremel.
I can't wait to see a handle you've whittled, that'll be a neat one of a kind!

Re: This is the Gallery of "Wolf Creek Whips" - Rachel McCollough

Rachel, I think solid colors go better with the whips you make because of the wooden handle, it blends together much better
