Re: Legend Collector’s Whip #4 by MG Whips

There is someone out there who likes you and appreciates your qualities and your craft. It is not a gift that belongs to everyone.

Missing links ?

Hello Ralph

Once, when you find it convenient, will you put the forum where all the WB shorts/videos/challenges were collected into the new forum?

I also miss a link to the WB main page : http://www.whip-basics.com/

Thanks in advance

"The Gallery - Making of"

Hello Ralph

Is it only me or is the "The Gallery - Making of" missing in the forum ?

Best regards

10 crack and 23 crack routines

Here I train 10 crack routine with my left hand. The exercise is not so much about the routine itself, as it is about - for me - making a connection between my brain and my left hand.

It's a very, very nice handle. I think it is absolutely incredible that the whip is in such good condition when the fall needs to be changed. It does not look worn at all. You have such a whip all your life :)

It looks like a beauty. Do you bind a "handlearea" or is it the same binding all over ? I am not so familiar with snakewhips.

I've seen whips with swivel handles before. I have a thought that it gives less control and is harder to crack when doing slow routines. Blake Bruning or Western Stage props have them for sale. I like "The Amper method of the swirveling handle" better. It's pretty easy when you have practi...

Great whip Hayes. What do you think about cracking a cowwhip? I have cracked a cowwhip today and I think you have to get used to it being able to twist the handle a little if you do not follow the natural movement. Conversely, it is a good indicator that you are walking something the whip does not l...

What I like best about your whips - apart from the amazing craftsmanship - is your twisted core. I have no idea how it works in a roo-whip, but in your nylon whips it gives an absolutely amazing life and response. One day I hope to have the opportunity to try a lightweight roo-whip you have built wi...

I love that bracelet. When I was a kid, my father had a watch strap that had the same structure, just a few links in a chain instead of a long bracelet. I always thought it was great. I actually once had a handmade copper bracelet made from many small rings. Some claim that copper has a positive imp...

Here are a few videos, from the end of today's hike. As you can see I did not need "but-safety- googles". I'm curious to know if you can see where I'm cheating a little compared to Robby's video. ;) I deliberately don't change hands in both directions with both cracks. It's because of my s...

I like the handle and ferrule. I am not good enough to see if the non-uniform (right word ?) taper can be managed with a good rolling ?

Rachel, I am impressed, that you also want to start leather projects. Gitte loves the flowers and I got the inspiration for a better stitching pony than my present one. He's a clever guy your dad :). I don't think I will never learn to tool a piece of leather like that. Here is no one to ask , so Gi...

Wow.. a Gryffindor whip :) I has tried to persuade my daughter to learn two crack a whip, but she refuses. She reads classical archaeology and I've told her that the biggest hurdle to experiencing the same things as Indiana Jones is that she can't handle a whip. Maybe a Gryffindor whip can make a di...
